SSL Certificates

An SSL Certificate provides HTTPS encryption which protects the channel between your browser and the website you’re visiting; ensuring no one in the middle can tamper with the traffic or spy on what you’re doing. Without that encryption, someone with access to your router or ISP could intercept information sent to websites or inject malware into otherwise legitimate pages.

Because Google released requirements for all sites to use SSL or they would loose there current search engine standing, almost all hosting companies started offering free short term SNI certs that auto-renew approx every 70 days. These are ideal for anyone not collecting customer information such as an email address, personal contact info, or a credit card. These certificates have no validation by a trusted third party so the visitor doesn't know if they can trust the domain owner.

Anyone collecting information from there customer should have an upgraded certificate that has the appropriate level of validation and includes a Site seal to provide additional assurance to there visitors.

Our SSL products offer peace of mind for a low yearly fee, and you can get the level of validation necessary for the type of information being collected from your customers. For example, an online store would require a higher level of validation than a site only asking for basic contact information.

Comodo SSL

Comodo SSL certificates are the quickest and most cost-effective way for any online businesses looking to protect customer transactions with high assurance SSL security. Comodo offers cheap SSL certificates for small to medium business. The major difference between SSL certificates is the authentication, the more authentication done to verify the business owner the higher the assurance level of the certificate.

When you purchase a standard Comodo SSL, an email is sent to an address at the domain to verify ownership.

Comodo Instant SSL

With an Instant SSL certificate, Comodo must be able to find your business or organization listed either in an official government database or a third-party database such as Dunn & Bradstreet ( www.dnb.com),(https://www.dnbdirect.ca). If your business or organization does not show up, or information is conflicting, Comodo may use one of the following documents for address verification:

A. Articles of Incorporation (with address)
B. Government Issued Business License (with address)
C. Copy of a recent company bank statement (you may blacken out the Account Number)
D. Copy of a recent company phone bill
E. Copy of a recent major utility bill of the company (i.e., power bill, water bill, etc.) or current lease agreement for the company.

EV SSL Certificate

Increase your sales with a Comodo EV SSL certificate by showing your customers a visible secure sign: the green browser address bar that displays your company's name next to the URL. Exclusive to EV SSL certificates, the green bar assures your site visitors that their sensitive data is transmitted by a highly secured, trustworthy domain that uses the strongest possible SHA2 and ECC encryption on all communications.
